Shortpath's Commitment to Privacy
Shortpath respects your privacy as a user of our system. It is our policy that all information that you, as the Registered Shortpath User, provide will be securely maintained. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This notice will be easy to find on the home page and any pages where we require information for use of the site. From time to time, Shortpath may access your account, including its contents, as stated above, or in order to respond to service or technical issues.
The Information We Collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Shortpath BOS. We collect both personally identifiable information and anonymous information from Registered Users. The types of information collected include: name, work wddress, email address, work phone number, user id, password, credit card information (optional), home zip code.
We use cookies on this site to provide Registered Users customized and personalize services. Cookies are small amounts of data that are sent to a Registered User's browser from a web server and stored on the Registered User's hard drive. This information does not specifically identify the user, but identifies the user's computer. The cookies used, will not collect any personal information like name, address, or telephone number. Please note that your Internet Protocol address is transmitted with each message sent from your account.
The Way We Use Information:
We use the information of Registered Users for purposes of profiling and analysis. These elements allow us to provide better and improved products and services, and new products and services that may interest Registered Users.
Registered User personal information is neither sold nor rented to third parties without the express permission of the individual Registered User. We do retain the right to share aggregated demographic and/or statistical information with partners, advertisers, and sponsors. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to improve your experience on the Shortpath BOS and to share with advertisers or other interested parties. For example, we may share with an advertiser that X number of persons visited a particular page or area of the site. We will not share your information with any other company or organization, other than those that supply technical assistance and/or technical products and services to Shortpath that facilitate the operation of the BOS, except in aggregated form. Any information shared with such technology providers will also be securely maintained in the same manner and at the same level of protection as information held solely on the Shortpath BOS. For example, any personal information will remain with us; however, your visit may be counted to demonstrate the number of visitors to this site.
Our Commitment to Data Security:
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Shortpath will not monitor, edit, or disclose any personal information about you or your use of the Service without your prior permission unless Shortpath has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of Shortpath; (3) act to protect the interests of its Registered Users. Shortpath does provide certain demographic user information in aggregate form to third parties, including its advertisers.
Links to Third Parties
The links included within the Shortpath BOS may let you leave the service and link to web sites that are NOT part of the Shortpath system ("linked sites"). These linked sites are not under the control of Shortpath and Shortpath is not responsible for the contents of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site, or any changed or updates to such sites. Shortpath is not responsible for webcasting or any other form of transmission received from any linked site.
Shortpath explicitly states that it provides NO security, nor maintains any Registered User information in any type or form of secure manner once a Registered User has left the Shortpath BOS via a linked site and then transferred information outside the BOS. Shortpath provides access to these links to Registered Users only as a convenience and is not responsible for the security of any such information transferred once a Registered User has left the BOS via a linked site.
How You Can Access or Correct Your Information:
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections. You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by simply using the Edit Your Profile function on you’re my Office Hub Page, or by calling our Customer Support Center at: 1-877-353-3377 or by emailing us at helpme@shortpath.com.
